Several type of separator are manufactured with high performance characteristics that are Conventional Wrap Style, Pleated type and Spin On type. Conventional type consists of a specific amount of a uniform grade of Borosilicate glass fiber while pleated type is using pleated filter media which will increase the air flow for appro-ximately 2x the air flow that of a standard type. Spin On separator has an appearance similar to the oil filter, the most advantages of this separator is extremely easy to replace in comparison to the standard type, but it has a limited application due to the restriction of air flow capacity.
In the compressor system, the oil itself must be filtered on a regular cycle so as to remove conta-minants that may enter the compressor and damage the unit.
